Say Goodbye to Bulging, Prominent, and Unsightly Leg Veins with Asclera

Asclera, otherwise known as Polidocanol, has been recently given an FDA approval for use in the US in early 2010. Millions in Europe, the United States, and the rest of the world have already benefited from the use Asclera. The Asclera solution has pain-numbing properties that make each treatment more comfortable.

The fancy medical term for varicose veins and spider veins is vascular lesions.  The Asclera injection is employed as the primary treatment for vascular lesions in the lower extremities such as legs and feet. People with poor circulation, nutritional deficiencies, liver disease, constipation, and heart failure have more chances of developing long, large veins. Pregnancy, weight-lifting, and certain jobs that require long hours of standing may also trigger the formation of oversized veins. The Asclera injection can provide a safe and effective short-term solution in minimizing the size of your spider veins and varicose veins.

Asava Medispa is leading the way with the latest in spider and varicose vein treatments. You can be sure of the safety and efficacy of our cosmetic treatments because we only hire the best trained staff to administer Asclera injections. Book now for a complimentary consultation so you can start experiencing the Asclera difference.

Asclera FAQ

What is the main difference between varicose veins and spider veins?

Spider veins are only less than 1 mm in diameter, while varicose veins can be as thick as 3 mm in diameter. They are caused by prolonged leg strain and certain medical conditions.

How does the Asclera injection cause these 2 kinds of veins to shrink?

These lesions are formed when veins—tubular vessels that regulate heart and overall circulatory functions—suffer from malfunction, causing blood to accumulate and therefore stretching them in size. Polidocanol treats vascular lesions by causing the veins’ inner walls to constrict, greatly minimizing their appearance and severity.

I am troubled with the obvious appearance of my veins. Am I automatically a candidate for an Asclera treatment?

If you are suffering from certain blood disorders and vascular problems, taking certain medications, pregnancy, nursing, and or have allergic reactions to any of Asclera’s components, Asclera may not be right for you. However, our staff will ask you specific medical questions to determine whether or not an Asclera procedure is safe for you. Both men and women who have no contraindications can go for an Asclera treatment.

Risks include scarring, infection, and dissolution of dermal tissue on the injection site. Our staff will carefully assess your risk factors and will tell you whether you can have an Asclera injection or not.

I have lots of spider veins and varicose veins. How long would be my treatment and recovery be?

The procedure takes less than an hour, depending on the number of areas to be treated. Recovery is fast, enabling you to resume your regular activities without difficulties. Certain high-impact activities that require strenuous use of the legs may be proscribed for a very short period of time. More than one treatment may be required to achieve the best results depending on the severity of the vascular lesions.
